A few days ago I threw a few questions to Galih about who he is and his next life in cycling to be distributed here so y’all may know him a bit.. enjoy guys ;)

When did you start cycling?

I started around 1992 when federal bikes had just became really popular. But I started riding fixed-gear bikes around end of 2010.

how many times have you changed your bike until you finally found your fit? (in this occasion, Pias)

2 times. They were custom bikes by IKPN and Pias.

What is Pias in your definition?

I think Pias is one of the local brands where the geometry of the bikes are as good as those of international brands. The CR-MO tubes are awesome and Pias produced cool frame colors way before Kagero. So who is the copycat? Hahahaha.

Why cycling?

I generally like all kinds of sports but my favorite ones have always been basketball and cycling. Why did I choose cycling? Maybe because it’s the only sport that really makes you sweat and hot-blooded at the same time, because I come across a lot of bad drivers in Jakarta.

Gw sebenernya semua olahraga suka tp untuk 2 olahraga yg bener2 gw ikutin terus sampe skrg basket dan sepeda. Kenapa gw pilih sepeda,mungkin olahraga yg ngeluarin keringet+urat cuma sepeda :d bs maki2 kendaraan umum. Hahhahahahha.

How far your furthest riding?

The furthest I went was cycling around Jakarta which is 160 km in total. I’ve also cycled to Bogor for 90 km. Usually in one day I would cycle around 60 km.

Fixed Film Festival // FxFF 2012
You ride fixed? You make clips?
Make some and submit it/them to us.

What is FxFF
It’s an event that we’d love to hold every year. Featuring fixed gear bikes and you! It can be anything, as long as it is connected to fixed gear world. We will pick best clips and hope to play them in a cinema (or giant screen the least), for you to sit around and enjoy with your crews. We won’t thrash the rest of the clips, we will also put them on a show (somewhere else). So pick up your camera, saddle up and have fun!

- Strictly Indonesian made
- Maximum duration of 5 minutes
- Put short credits of the clip (song, rider, clip maker, editor)
- The clips/videos must be made in 2011/2012
- Medium/High/HD quality please (no poor resolution allowed) 

Submission
Videos and clips should be submitted a week before the festival. For now, it is still 20th June (the latest). You can e-mail fixedforward@gmail.com for more information and submission how to. More information updates soon.
